Learn to translate your ideas through using your chosen drawing and painting material, as well as your chosen suface. In this weekly class I will offer pre-recorded demos and have weekly PowerPoint presentations and lectures on contemporary and historical artists that approach simplification in their work. You may work from life, a photo reference, memory, and invention. I will give individual critiques and everyone will have time to work during class.

Student Supply List:

Open media: students may work in gouahce, oil, watercolor, etc.
Students may choose to experiment with materials or focus on a single material.
Photos or objects to work from.
