This class will explore several printmaking techniques, such as mono-types, low-relief printing and colographs. Each class we will challenge a different subject type, such as the figure, landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes, interiors and an abstract study. We will explore a variety of materials including mat board, all paper types including printed and colored papers. We will explore color as well as texture. Our artist influences will include my own printmaking/ collage work including local artists like Chris Clark and Evan Summer as well as staples in art history Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Kathe Kollwitz. This is a wonderful class for the novice emerging artist.
