This workshop is intended for people who have already had some experience of etegami, ink, and watercolor cards with text, but beginners are also welcome. Etegami is the Japanese inspired folk art of making simple ink & watercolor paintings on cards, intended to be sent to others as a way to connect and reach out. Its a relaxing and refreshing way to unwind and immerse yourself in gentle and low-stress creativity. Its a wonderful way to connect meaningfully with others, both during the class and when you mail your etegami cards to friends and family. The motto of etegami is “Clumsy is good!” so there is absolutely zero pressure or stress, only gentle enjoyment. This is a fun workshop to take with a friend or family member. Older children and teens are allowed to join the class. If you arent able to attend class in person, an online option is available. Please contact the Art Center to discuss this option.
