Trip: Captiva Island with Teaching Artist Francine Shore
Date: Mar 25, 2009 - Apr. 2, 2009
Location: Captiva Island
Travel with Teaching Artist Francine Shore to an island on the west coast of Florida. Australian pines amidst jungle vegetation canopy surround twisting roads in this southern wonderland. There is dense greenery between the Gulf Beach, a sense of abundance, exotic flowers, extraordinary plants, with sandy groves bordering expanses of ocean that appear between the foliage. Welcome to Captiva!
This island was the home of late artist, Robert Rauschenberg. We will visit his studio, as we capture the "Old Florida Spirit," from the exquisite sparkling dawn, to the dramatic evening sunsets...A great place to get in touch with landscape and seascape waiting to be painted! Please call the Art Center for pricing information. |
