This program held at CBVI in Chester, PA, provides ceramics classes for the blind and visually impaired. Participating in projects that use tactile mediums such as clay and mosaics, the students are provided with the opportunity to develop their senses, gain confidence, and independence.
In collaboration with the Main Line Art Center, CBVI participants created a beautiful mosaic that was included in a traveling exhibition called Art Beyond Sight and displayed at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in October 2004. The mosaic is now permanently installed at CBVI.
