2010 Outreach Exhibition: The Space Within

This exhibition celebrates the vibrant and colorful work created by participants in the Art Center's outreach programs as they explore the meaning of ‘the space within’ through a variety of art media. Main Line Art Center is proud to be one of the leading visual arts organizations in the region to make art accessible to diverse groups in our community. Programs are designed to reach underserved audiences including children, teens and adults with disabilities, at-risk youth and low-income adults and families.

Run of the Mill String Band
Experience music in a most unique way as you get to see, touch and hear the instruments that are used in traditional Folk music. Philadelphia locals, The Run of the Mill String Band have prepared an evening of old-time southern Appalachian music, performing some of the best traditional American music you can find. The Mind's Eye: Carol Saylor
May 21-June 4
Carol B. Saylor is an artist who gradually turned to sculpture during about 25 years of progressive deafness and blindness. Her work expresses the emotions of a lifetime, from loss and grief, to gratitude and hope. She teaches the viewer how to really ‘look’ at sculpture through touch and to use their mind’s eye to explore the world of art in a new way.
